Birthday Boy

Hello Folks,

I hope this post finds you all fit and well.

As always I have been a busy bee and loving every moment of this retirement lark!

A couple of weeks ago it was my hubby's birthday and as I was so busy with other cards and projects, I had left his card to the last minute.  Now, it wasn't that he was way down the queue in my list of priorities but I had this card in mind for him and I knew it wasn't going to take me long.  He is a keen photographer and a great fan of Nikon cameras and lenses so when I saw this stamp from Visible Image, I knew it would make the perfect birthday card for him.

One of the things I particularly like about this stamp set is the great effect of texture on the body of the camera. It is worthwhile clicking on the image for a close up view as I think Visible Image have done such a great job manufacturing this stamp!

The image and sentiment were simply stamped in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heated embossed with clear powder then mat and layered and job done!  Hubby was dead chuffed with it and loved the take on the camera brand!

And to show you the sort of thing he gets up to when he is out and about on one of his photographic jaunts, he has given me permission to share one of his photo images with you.

If you would like to see more of his work there is quite a range of subjects on his flickr page. Obviously I am biased but I think it is worth a look!

Thank you for visiting me today

Bye for now
Anne

  6. Hi Anne, just over at Barb's blog, and read where you all had a lovely meetup at a craft session. Lucky you! She provided a link so I could zip over quickly and enjoy the fantastic camera card. That stamp DOES have so much texture, & you've captured a super fine stamped image too! Your DH will love it. Enjoyed the splendid bird...not sure exactly what species it might be, but it's such a marvelous closeup. TFS & hope the birthday was a good one!

    1. Hi Mary, Thanks for visiting my blog. It was great to meet Barb again on Sunday and so very kind of her to share a link to my crafty efforts! I will pop over and find your blog too! DH tells me the bird in my post is a male Snowy Owl - I got as far as the Owl part but hadn't a clue after that so I had to ask him! Hope to 'see' you here again. Anne xx
