Imagination

Back at last!

Apologies for my absence but I have hardly been around for the past few weeks - we have been gadding around the country looking at houses, trying to find our forever home.  I would really like to have a proper craft room (wouldn't we all!) and hubby would like enough space to have a decent woodworking workshop - nothing grand, just enough space for his workbench and tools with power and light so he can have a bit of warmth in there during the winter months and when it gets really cold he can crank up the heat and still feel his fingers when he is working - a bit dodgy using chisels when you can't!

Oh yes, the rest of the house is important too but please note that we have our priorities right!  After all, retirement should be the time to pursue our hobbies.

Well now, that is my excuse for not blogging for an absolute age!!

Back to the crafting, my offering for today is a card I made a few weeks ago for one of Leonie's shows on Hochanda.

It is a bit of pure fantasy being my take on the Loch Ness monster!  This certainly isn't a masterpiece but created just for fun and to show how you can take elements from your craft stash and use them in a slightly different way with a bit of imagination and quite a bit of masking!  The head of Nessie is the seahorse stamp which I have masked so that it appears above the waves and the humps for the back and tail are the crescent shape from the Bohemian Doodles set, masked in a similar way.

Details of stamp sets, masks and stencils I have used can be found by clicking on the following links:

The Deep Blue, Bohemian Doodles and Imagine.

Hopefully I will be back more frequently - until the next lot of houses come on the market and we are off again!

Thanks for visiting me today - your company and comments are very much appreciated.

Bye for now
x Anne

  3. Love how you've created Nessie. Your house hunting list sounds just like mine, well apart from the retirement bit. Think I'll be able to retire 20 years after I've died the way things are going! Hope the house hunting goes well, currently trying to declutter our house to sell at the moment x

  4. Brilliant card, Anne, such a fun and clever design.

Good luck with the house hunting for your forever home. I agree, a craft room needs to be at the top of the list of essentials in your new home. xx
